Dockers' "Man-ifesto" Ad Campaign Recalls Traditional Roles of Men in Culture
Real men are set to wear the pants again, according to a recent Dockers ads for khakis. Dockers writes, "We need heroes. We need grown-ups. . . . It's time to wear the pants." Men solve problems. They fix stuff. They get stuff done. When we give men such weak assignments -- we put them on the bereavement committee and the flower committee and the grounds committee and the fellowships committees -- give men a God-sized task that they know requires a man."
